From a small cooperative founded in 1935 to a trusted financial partner for members across a broader field of membership, Rivertrust FCU has grown through service, trust, and member support.
Rivertrust Federal Credit Union was founded on August 8, 1935, as Jackson Miss Telco Employees Federal Credit Union. On April 30, 1940, the organization was renamed Mississippi Telco Federal Credit Union, continuing its mission to serve members through cooperative financial service.
What began as a small, member-focused institution became a multi-million-dollar financial cooperative because of members who chose to save, borrow, and support one another through the credit union difference.
As Rivertrust FCU grew, dedicated volunteers, board members, and committee members helped shape its direction. Major milestones included the opening of the Pearl, Mississippi main office in 2000 and the 2016 adoption of the Rivertrust Federal Credit Union name to reflect a broader field of membership.
